Final reflection for term 4

This PTP course , was awesome it was loads of fun and alot of dramas .




I learnt a lot from this course from being more confident in talking in front of a group and the process of planning an event and what goes into it which involves a lot of hard work and energy .

What I enjoyed and learnt through this term were very challenging and involved a lot of communication , teamwork and group involvement .
I enjoyed the practical classes because whenever we did practical we got to work on our speaking and i enjoyed being outdoors . The things i didn't enjoy was the school work and planning it was too much for my brain to handle but some how i seemed to pull through . :)

Well i think it was a pretty short time to put together an event so think the next time we get to do this event management for PTP we should have atleast 6-7 weeks of planning and practised on my speaking .
Overall event management experience was fun , I enjoyed working with my partner Peter and the rest of my friends .

Reflection

11/11/10
Todays class was about Confident speaking . The whole class had to get up and choose a subject to talk about in front of the class for a minute . I spoke about friends , i couldn't think fast enough to speak clearly about my topic so thats what i need to work on .

9th September 2010, today really sucks cause we didn't get to do a practicle lesson .
but on what we did do was heaps of work .
-Quiz
-Session plans
-Risk Management on our prezi's
And a Contingency Plans/Problem solving
Me and Peter worked together and we both completed all work that had to be done today .
On a scale from 1-10 on where I'm at with all this event managing thing is about 9
because I'm very excited to organize a event .

Activity reflection

03/11/10 I think i did well then others . i equipped well and got the idea out to the participants on how to play the activity that i set up .I think i could have done better by making some modification to the game .
I also think that i would do good hosting the same event to 5-10 times .

Reflection

2ND November 2010:
Today was half half practical , five of the other students in the class had to run an activity for us to practice on how we try to explain the game . I think that the five leaders that took this class was OK but my advice to them is to have more confidence in their voice and to be enthusiastic about what their trying to do .
Second half of the day we had to unscramble a timeline on the white board that was fun .
On what part i'd like to help out on is getting equipment or designing posters .

28/10/10.Today i worked on the Prezi . Setting up the ground plan for all the activities , It was easy .
I really don't know what I'm going to say or do tomorrow for the slideshow , but I'm going to just go with the flow .

27/10/2010 We had to do a quick brief before we went on computer to do our prezi's .
We had to get our prezi's ready for the slide show on friday .
Today was algoods , damn need a smoke .

Guest Speaker 26/10/2010

I enjoyed todays speaker Willie because he taught us so much . Not just about him but about event managing . What i liked most about the guest speaker was that he did some fun activities with us and pointed out the purpose for doing it and how that can cola berate in event managing . The four main bullet point about event managing that he spoke to us about was that it was about People, Plan , Purpose and to have Fun .

What i learnt about this lesson was that event managing was for the people , and that managing a event takes a lot of minds coming together to make the event successful . 

Reflection

Today Ace, Peter and I arrived late but we quickly managed to get on task.
Our work was alright the work we got wasn't difficult but it was heaps.
We completed loads of work today so i think we are on task.
I felt pretty good. The task i had to do today was put in some thoughts of activities to do at our funky monkey fun day. I also had to find out the resources that was required for the event.
Today was boring ha-ha

Event

The event i went to was a rugby league game at Mt Smart Stadium. The team that was playing was Warriors vs Manly Seaeagles. I went to the game with my two little cousins teisa and mathew and my uncle Mat. They camefrom palmeston north for the term holidays. We got to the stadium 2hours early, so we had to watch the Junior Warriors. The Junior Warriors were playing the Junior Manly Seaeagles team. The Junior Warriors won 22-12. Unfortunately the Vodafone Warriors lost 12-6 to Manly seaeagles.
The most memarable momment that day was when, the Manly Seaeagles winger 'T-rex' ran over 8 or 9 people in a row like a bulldozer. That wasnt the only memarable momment. My ex girlfriend was sitting a three rows behind me. I felt awkward, she wanted to buy me some food but my little cousin said piss off to her. Overall that event was successful because i liked the atmosphere of the crowd yelling out angry words at the referee.

Event Management is the application of project to the creation and development of festivals, events and conferences. I think this is the best definition because it explains what Event Management is.
2.What Event would you like to run and why?
I would like to be a leader of a event to challenge my Management of Events.
3.What makes a sucssessful event?
What makes a sucssessful event is when participants had loads of fun doing it and compliment on the event that they would do it again.
